Gameplay Video of Go To Bed
Go To Bed is a light horror maze game where the player must find their bedroom and go to sleep before sunrise comes. The player has to shelter themself from the harsh cold exterior while keeping their mind sane before collapsing due to lack of sleep.

Planning, 3D modeling, Maze directions
The map is inspired by a real old building where I used to live in my university town. There was a real maze of unused rooms that would have a set of doors that would only open from one direction. I translated some of that feel to the game. added a couple of elements lke keys and doors, one direction window passages and the hole on the ground.
Component for player Heat and Mind
Instead of using a normal health system, I decided on using heat and mind. The player speed is reduced as they get cold. it also has visual effects on the character mesh and visor. Mind damage triggers glitching effects on the camera. regardless, if you run out of time, heat or mind you loose the game.
Cold, normal and warm areas
Depending if the player is outside, indors or near a fireplace the ambient changes to cold, normal and warm respectively. The ambient changes the music, vignettes, dirt mask, and tint of the scene.
VHS inspired UI
The UI was inspired by the VHS player and recorders. it worked with the pixelated and glitch effects along side with their respective sound effects.
This short experience was very fun to code and made, it help me a lot to understand unreal components, interfaces, enums, vfx, post processing and much more. depending on the reception I could consider it for a full version release of the game.
